Filling out this for my mother who was on Oken Ward 09/10/23.
Her care was second to none, she is full of praise for all the staff
Even called at home on discharge by respiratory team to follow up the day after her discharge.
Thankyou so much for your hard work, care, kindness and professionalism.
I have answered as a patients relative & would like to especially thank Laura, the night ward clerk.
She was keen to help us, answered our questions clearly , & appeared friendly & professional despite how busy the area obviously was. She really put us at ease & gave us the confidence that mum would be well looked after. A big thank you, it made such a difference.
,
Amazing staff, listened to our concerns and were very thorough, staff and doctors doing regular checks, I’m so grateful to the staff.
Dr Heaps (consultant psychiatrist) and the whole A&E team! What a credit to their respective professions and the NHS. This is what it’s all about! From minute one all staff have been so patient and caring.

Took a long time to be admitted and was told that a vaginal examination was necessary for me to be admitted even though this is not true. Was kept in triage until 6cm dialated before being admitted. Asked for pain relief on 3 occasions and was given codeine which I threw up seconds later and it was therefore not effective. No staff available and a long wait for a room. Bluebell was closed.
Early on Thursday 14th September, I came Warwick hospital in great pain, evidently due to acute appendicitis. Here are how the departments performed:
Surgical Assessment Unit - I was attended to by Lisa (Corcoran?), who noticed that I was in such pain that I could not sit down, in the waiting area. Having spotted this, she moved me to a bed so I could be more comfortable. Next, as she was about to use a piece of equipment, another person came to take it elsewhere. Lisa was assertive in a most professional manner - and was able to retain the critical piece of equipment in order to help me. The way she handled this difficult situation was excellent.
Chaplaincy - while waiting for my CT scan, I had a visit from Rob - a volunteer from the chaplaincy. Well done to him for volunteering to talk to people who may be going through difficult or painful times. I enjoyed our chat.
I was impressed with all the porters and their careful and diligent manner when moving me around the hospital.
Catering was excellent, I had some nice filling and healthy meals - and the staff were polite and friendly.
The CT scan team (on Thursday 14/9/23) were excellent.
The surgical team evidently did a brilliant job, my thanks to the team. It must seem a tiring and thankless task, it is appreciated.
In the Hatton Ward, I wish to pass on my grateful thanks to Amy and Bev (night team) and Lyndsay and Shannon (day team). All were excellent and attentive.
Yours faithfully - Mr M Dolphin
Efficient, friendly very professional service.
The team at Warwick are absolutely amazing. From first consultation through to the children’s doctors and everyone in-between, everyone treated us with the urgency every parent wants when coming to a hospital with their child.
With all the difficulties currently going on in UK healthcare at the moment, the entire team do Warwick hospital credit as we were seen so quickly a dealt with so swiftly.
My daughter was thoroughly taken care of and in a timely member. Every member of staff we dealt with was friendly and efficient
